It is located between the metropolises of Bordeaux and Toulouse in the department of Lot-et-Garonne and is crossed by the river Garonne. The city is mainly known for the cultivation of prunes which was for a long time the main activity of the city and the region. Today, it is a more commercial and touristic city. Indeed, as a city of more than 2000 years, it has a rich architectural and religious heritage that testifies to its medieval past and attracts every year many tourists passing through the region.
The city of Agen is connected to many roads that allow you to move in the southwest of France. It is crossed by the RD813 and the A62 freeway which both lead to Toulouse and Bordeaux, the two metropolises of the region. In addition, a third axis, the N21, connects the city to destinations such as Bergerac or Limoges. These roads are used by numerous bus lines serving all the towns in the region.
