Barcelona-El Prat Airport has 2 terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, which consist of 3 separate buildings called T2A, T2B, and T2C.
Keep in mind that Terminal 2 and Terminal 1 are not exactly close to each other; there's a 4 km distance between them. To travel between T1 and T2, you need to take the airport's free shuttle bus, which usually operates with some delays due to traffic. If you have to take this bus, we recommend doing so well in advance.
T1 handles both inbound and outbound flights within the Schengen area, making it the busiest terminal, as it generates the highest number of flights.
T1 is divided into several levels; we describe them below so you won't get lost in the vastness of the airport!
There are three levels: Level 0, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
The VIP lounges located on Level 2 are the following: VIP Premium Lounge, Colomer Lounge, Miró Lounge, and Pau Casals Lounge.
In addition to the VIP lounges, the terminal offers various services, such as restaurants and cafes, duty-free shops, ATMs, Wi-Fi, baggage packing offices, and information counters.
At Terminal 1, you have the AENA General T1 Barcelona parking area where you can leave your car. The General T1 parking at the T1 terminal is the closest to the terminal and consists of four zones, some outdoor and some covered. However, there are more options, and some even offer valet service. We recommend that you visit our search engine and see the different options available to you. Remember that with Parkimeter, you can reserve your parking in advance for the time you need with just two clicks.
At the T1 terminal, there is an area where vehicles have 10 minutes completely free to drop off or pick up passengers. After the 10 minutes, the rates for the Express T1 parking will apply.
