The town of Ivry-sur-Seine is a French commune in the Val-de-Marne department, whose capital is Créteil, located in the Ile-de-France region headed by Paris. The commune borders the French capital, which is located at south of Paris, on the other side of the Paris ring road. Ivry-sur-Seine is therefore part of the Greater Paris metropolis and has a population of about 65.000 inhabitants. It is surrounded by Villejuif to the west, Vitry-sur-Seine and Maisons-Alfort to the south and Charenton-le-Pont to the east.
