Where to park in Pabellón Fundación Montemadrid
The Pabellón Fundación Montemadrid is a covered sports complex opened in 1987. Previously it was known as Pabellón Ruiz de Velasco and Pabellón Caja Madrid. This pavilion is located in Alcalá de Henares and has a total capacity of 4,410 places for all those who want to attend its events. You can practice sports such as handball, basketball and indoor football. Currently, its local teams are the basketball team Club Juventud Alcalá and the futsal team Club Movistar INTER "B".
Where to park near the Montemadrid Foundation Pavilion
Next to the pavilion you will find a car park which is part of the Fundación Montemadrid sports centre. However, we recommend that you arrive early to avoid wasting time looking for available seats with everyone planning to attend.
You can also park on the street as a second option. Parking is regulated in Madrid. For your information, there are different types of parking spaces (green, mixed and high rotation):
The green zone is allowed for residents. If you are one of them, know that there is no time limit for parking, as long as it is done in your neighbourhood. If you are not a resident, you can only park for a maximum of 2 hours. After this time, you will not be able to park in the same area until one hour has passed.
The blue zone is free for all, and you can only park for up to 4 hours. Resident users can leave their car in their neighbourhood from 8 pm to 9 pm. The high rotation zone can only be used after paying the corresponding fee, the vehicle you use must have an environmental sticker and the parking time is very limited (45 minutes). We always recommend you to anticipate, to take into account the duration of your parking and the area in which you will park to look for the type of parking area in order to avoid confusion and fines. If you prefer to avoid all this and simplify your life, you can always rent a public car park and find out about the rules and regulations to take into account when you arrive by car. Remember that not all parking lots charge the same fee, some charge by the minute, the hour or the day, and some charge even less as your parking time increases.
