Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, also known as Pablo Picasso, is located 8 kilometers from the city center. It is considered the main entrance and exit door to the tourism of the famous Costa del Sol and all the Andalucía.
The international Málaga-Costa del Sol airport is the airport dedicated to the city of Málaga. It is identifiable through the International Air Transport Association (IATA) code: AGP and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) one: LEMG. It is the 4th biggest airport in Spain and the main one in the region of Andalusia and Costa del Sol. It is 8km far from Málaga and 5km from Torremolinos. It is connected to more than 60 countries and welcome every year more than 10 million passengers. The airport is owned by the ENAIRE (anciently named AENA) which own and manage most of the Spanish airports.
How to get to the airport?
To access the airport, you have several possibilities. You can choose to use public transports thanks to its train direct connection with Málaga’s Center in 12 minutes and a train departing every 20 minutes, and a bus station allowing to reach or leave the airport from and for short or long distance. You can decide as well to go there by car as the airport offers two main parking composed of a total of 3700 parking spots.
Taxi
You can also choose to take a taxi in way to reach or leave the place. The ride takes in general 20 minutes to reach the Center of Málaga. You will able to recognize easily the official taxis due to their white color with a blue stripe on the side. Taxis have two different fares that differs in function of the day and the time you need to reserve a taxi. The fares are the following:

Terminals
The Málaga-Costa del Sol anciently possessed 2 terminals which were separating the flight inside Schengen and the ones linked to the exterior of Schengen. However, those two terminals are now closed as they have been replaced by a third terminal created recently which units now the whole airport. If you choose in the end to arrive at the airport by car, the airport propose several different parking services: - An express car park which is the closest to the airport and offers 15 minutes free - The general parking P1, 2-3 minutes far by foot from the airport.
