Nevertheless, a short distance away is Piazza Meda, which is less congested and offers a good alternative for parking. Many people prefer to park at Piazza Meda and walk a few minutes to the Duomo to avoid the stress of looking for a spot right next to the cathedral. This option allows for a pleasant stroll through the center of Milan and to admire the charm of its streets.
If you want to park near the Duomo, you have several options. The first is to park on the street, although we advise you to stay away from the center as its streets are usually not suitable for traffic. The best option in these cases is to park outside the center and move around the city by public transport such as the metro or tram. Also, keep in mind that Milan has had the ZTL or Limited Traffic Zone for years. If you enter the ZTL, you must ensure that you meet the necessary requirements to avoid being fined.
