On the Mediterranean coast and only a few kilometres from Italy, Nice has all the charm of a southern city. Even before you reach the tarmac in Nice, the view from the plane will take your breath away

On the Mediterranean coast and only a few kilometres from Italy, Nice has all the charm of a southern city. Even before you reach the tarmac in Nice, the view from the plane will take your breath away. No wonder Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport has been voted as one of the most beautiful arrivals in the world for several years running. In addition to the extraordinary scenery on the Mediterranean Sea, the mountainous panorama that is covered with snow in winter is also awe-inspiring. The Vieux-Nice, with its narrow streets, its yellow and ochre facades, its small craftsmen's shops, its restaurants make it a very famous district in Nice and especially unmissable!

Find a place near the Promenade des Anglais

The Promenade des Anglais, also known as the Prom', is the main avenue along the coast. It is no less than 7 kilometres long. It is internationally known for its luxurious hotels, its "blue chairs" and its pergolas. To fully enjoy this place, we advise you to leave your car and walk along it. For this purpose, you will have the opportunity to find free parking spaces located on the Avenue des Baumettes and its neighbouring streets. However, these streets are very busy and to avoid searching for a place for hours, we recommend you to reserve a place with Parkimeter in one of the car parks near the Promenade des Anglais.

Is it difficult to park in Vieux-Nice?

This is the most touristic area of the city, which has managed to keep all its charm while modernising itself. You will find various shops and very pleasant restaurants. The Cours Saleya is the most famous course in Vieux-Nice. This is where the famous flower market of Nice takes place. You can also access the Castle hill via the Vieux-Nice. All year round and especially in summer, this area is very busy with tourists and parking spaces are hard to find. But also paying parking spaces are scarce. Indeed, we strongly suggest that you reserve a space in one of the Vieux-Nice car parks.

Parking near Mont Boron

Free parking? Yes, next to Mount Boron you will have the possibility to access a free parking. It is a steep and narrow path up the hill. Mount Boron is a huge forest area of over 57 hectares. This place has different viewpoints, you can observe the Baie des Anges, Villefranche-sur-Mer or Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. There is a footpath, with many stairs, down to the port and the old part of Nice. Don't forget that you also have to walk back up. During busy periods, such as the summer season, we recommend that you reserve your parking space at Mont Boron by clicking here.

Limited traffic zone

ZFE Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur

The city of Nice has environmental restrictions on vehicle traffic (LTZ or ZTL in some countries, ZFE in French). The LTZ is only accessible to authorized vehicles during specific hours. We suggest you to check the sticker on your car and check if it is allowed to drive in this zone. Please note that the reservation is not an authorization.
