Paris Orly Airport, commonly known as Orly Airport, is an international airport located 13 km south of Paris. Its name comes from the Orly municipality that occupies part of its territory. The airport, terminals and runways are divided between the departments of Essonne and Val-de-Marne. It is under the jurisdiction of the Paris police prefecture. It is the second largest airport platform in France after Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, which received more than 33 million passengers in 2018. The airport was historically divided into two main terminals, the South Terminal (two gates) and the West Terminal (four gates), and has three runways. In March 2019, the terminal was renamed to match the connecting building and began operations on April 16. Orly West will be divided into Orly 1 and Orly 2, the new connecting building will be called Orly 3 and Orly South will become Orly 4. It also features a charging terminal and maintenance area.
