Pisa - Galileo Galilei Airport Parking
Copyright
This airport is considered the most important airport in the Tuscany area and it is a civil and military airport.

Pisa San-Giusto Airport, also called Galileo Galilei Airport, is the most important airport in the Tuscany region. It is south of Pisa at a distance of 5 km. The airport operates national and international flights, with destinations in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. There is only one terminal, T1, which opens every day at 4am. Departure and arrivals areas are both on Level 0, departures are on the east side of the terminal and arrivals on the west side. The information desk which is located in the departures hall is available from 7:00am to 11:00pm.

The main airlines operating at the airport are Ryanair, easyJet, Vueling, Wizz Air and Scandinavian Airlines.

How to get there

The airport is well integrated into the motorway network of the Toscona region. From the airport you have direct connection to several cities like Pisa, Florence, Genoa, among others, from the highways A11, A12 and SS1.

Bus

If you want to use public transport, you can count on the Pisa Mover which is the transfer that connects directly from the airport to the central station of Pisa. The journey takes 5 minutes and the bus runs every 5-10 minutes between 06:00 and 00:00. The only stop it makes before the station is at San Giusto Aurelia. You can buy your ticket from different machines at the airport, each trip costs 5€ and you have the option to buy both return and return tickets at once.

The train station is 1km away from the centre of Pisa, heading south. From there you have connections to Florence, Sienna and Lucca.

Taxis

As in most European airports, Pisa San-Giusto has its entrance always full of taxis. The trip is quite comfortable and fast, taking more or less 5 minutes. The fare between the airport and the city is usually around €15. We recommend that you make sure that the taxi you choose is legal and not charging you an excessive fee. Also, if you call your taxi in advance remember that in case of delay you will be charged an extra fee, and you should inform the driver of this.

Types of airport parkings

Valet (Pickup at terminal)

The fastest and most comfortable way to park in the airport. The driver will be waiting for you at the scheduled time at the terminal. At your return, call the driver, who will deliver your car to you.

Shuttle

The cheapest option: free 5-15 minutes transfer to the terminal. A free shuttle will take you from the parking lot to the terminal and back upon your return.

Inside the airport

The official car park inside the airport facilities. It is normally at walking distance from the terminal, but cheaper long stay car parks sometimes require short transfers.
