The city of Turin is known worldwide for its interesting history and monuments. Park and walk quietly through its streets tasting a typical chocolate or “gianduia”.

Turin, located in the northwest of Italy, is a city that combines historical elegance with modernity.

Famous for its rich cultural and architectural heritage, it is home to a series of impressive Baroque and Neoclassical buildings, such as the Mole Antonelliana, which stands out on the horizon. It is also known for being the home of important museums, including the Egyptian Museum, one of the largest in the world of its kind.

Turin is an industrial and technological center, the headquarters of internationally renowned companies, and it excels in gastronomy, being the birthplace of the Italian aperitif and gianduia chocolate. Its location near the Alps makes it an ideal starting point to explore the natural beauty of the Piedmont region.

Where to Park in Turin

If you are spending your vacation in Turin or traveling for work and decide to use a car, parking in Turin can be a real challenge. If you book a hotel, you should find out if it is one of the hotels with parking for guests and what the cost of this service would be, and then compare it to other prices to see if it is truly the best option. You can use the Parkimeter search tool to get an idea of the prices and make better comparisons. Furthermore, if you find a parking lot that suits your needs, you can reserve it in just a few clicks.

Long-Term Parking in Turin

If you plan to stay in Turin for several weeks, you are more likely to prefer finding long-term parking, commonly known as low-cost parking. It is advisable to use this option if you decide not to use your car as frequently. This way, you will use public transportation, and we particularly recommend using the Turin metro at least once, as it is one of the most innovative in Europe.

Public Parking in Turin

If you opt for parking near your residence, Turin has a good distribution of public parking lots. However, finding parking near the historic center, near the Mole Antonelliana, Piazza Castello, Via Roma, Via Garibaldi, is not the same. Additionally, some areas in the city center are part of the Turin ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone). For this reason, it is advisable to make a reservation in advance with Parkimeter.

Discover Turin and Its Surroundings

The capital of Piedmont is undoubtedly one of Italy's smaller cities, but the same cannot be said of its beauty. It is a city with a very special atmosphere, full of parks and impressive monuments, historic buildings, and the famous Egyptian Museum. What few people know, however, is that with a short car ride from the city center, you can reach spectacular places like the town of Alba, the home of hazelnuts and truffles, and the town of Bardonecchia, ideal for a day in the mountains.

ZTL Torino

The city of Turin has environmental restrictions on vehicle traffic (LTZ or ZTL in some countries, ZTL in Italian). The LTZ is only accessible to authorized vehicles during specific hours. We suggest you to check the sticker on your car and check if it is allowed to drive in this zone. Please note that the reservation is not an authorization.

In Turin, the car parks are authorized to manage the ZTL access permit. When you arrive at the car park, you will have to pay a fee that allows the car park staff to register your vehicle's number plate on the list of those authorized to enter the ZTL.
