The Parque Eduardo VII of England, better known as Parque Eduardo VII is situated in Alto do Parque in Lisbon. It's the biggest park of the capital. The park is divided by two large wooded green areas, it houses a lake, an amusement park, two greenhouses, the Carlos Lopes Pavilion, the Monumental viewpoint with the 25th of April monument and the Amália Rodrigues garden in honour of the Portuguese fado singer. The park was inaugurated in 1903 as a tribute to King Edward VII of the United Kingdom who was visiting Lisbon to reaffirm the alliance with the British.
