Formerly the Archaeological Museum of Palermo, and more precisely of the Mormino Foundation, the Pinacoteca Villa Zito is located near [Palermo Notarbartolo Train Station](add link). It was in 2005 that the Villa was acquired to start renovation work and transform it into an art gallery. It contains various collections of works of art spread over 3 floors : you can find many paintings of the baroque style from the beginning of the XVII century to the end of the XVIII century and which are mostly of religious order. There are also more romantic works, mainly painted landscapes dating from the 19th century. Many Sicilian artists are exhibited, you can find Antonio Leto or Michele Catti for example. The Pinacoteca Villa Zito is located in the north of Palermo, more precisely in the modern district of the city. It is very frequented by locals but also by tourists. Indeed, it is full of many “modern-style” buildings but also many bars and restaurants. The traffic can be difficult, even impossible. With Parkimeter, don’t worry about finding a parking space. Enjoy the comfort of reserving your parking space from home to park in a public parking area near the Villa Zito.
It is possible to park in the streets of Palermo for a very low price, but you have to keep in mind that it is not so easy to find a parking space in the street. Indeed, the city has created a limited traffic zone that extends from Giulio Cesare square to Cavour Piarra Indipendenza avenue, which therefore includes certain conditions. First of all, this area is mainly reserved for residents, and is accessible at certain times : on weekdays from Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm and on Saturday from 8am to 1pm. That said, if you want to drive in the ZTL, you will need a daily pass that will have to match the standard of your vehicle. The price depends on your car : 2.50€ for a hybrid car and 5€ for a petrol car. It is essential to have this pass if you want to access this area since the fine may be high on your return.
If you decide not to park in the ZTL, you may be able to find a parking space in the blue areas that have a price of €1 per hour. Keep in mind that at this price, parking space leaves very quickly.
