The Bois de Boulogne, which hosts around 6 million visitors a year, with its 846 hectares is undoubtedly one of the largest and most famous parks in the city. It is located along the Seine and in the past was a hunting reserve of the Kings of France. This park has different types of trees, plants and flowers that surround the two lakes, Lac Inferieur and Grand Lac. Inside the Bois de Boulogne there are several tourist and non tourist attractions. For children, the Jardin d'Acclimatation, a famous adventure park, and for adults and horse lovers, the renowned Longchamp racecourse.
