Paris is certainly a city rich of history and art. Among the many monuments in the French capital you can find 5 copies of the Statue of Liberty. Not many people know that the Statue of Liberty in New York was donated to the American people by the French in 1889 for the Declaration of Independence. The largest statue in Paris is in bronze and is 11. 5 meters high and is located east of the Eiffel Tower, on the Pont Grenelle. Initially the statue was facing the city, but in 1937 it was turned in the direction of New York.
