This year marks the 30th edition of one of the most highly anticipated festivals for electronic music lovers in the city of Barcelona: Sónar. The dates for this major event have already been confirmed, so mark your calendars for June 15th, 16th, and 17th, 2023! For those who may not be familiar, Sónar is a festival that was created in 1993 and has since continued to grow. It has established itself as an internationally renowned event and is a pioneer for its artistic and avant-garde character, combined with electronic music and digital creation. Every year, they bring together emerging artists yet to be discovered and well-known artists from the music and audiovisual production industries.
Over three days, the festival presents a diverse and exciting program that includes live performances, DJ sets, art installations, and exhibitions of technology and digital creativity. Performances usually take place on various stages located in different parts of the city, including the Fira de Montjuïc venue (Barcelona) and the Fira Gran Via venue (L'Hospitalet de Llobregat).
Since 2002, more than 50 festivals have been organized worldwide, in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, London, Buenos Aires, Seoul, Lisbon, Tokyo, Cape Town, and many others.
Fortunately, Sónar is held annually in the city of Barcelona, the birthplace of the festival. This year, you can enjoy all the activities it offers: Sónar de Día, where concerts and showcases are held; Sónar+D, where the International Congress on the Digital Transformation of Creative Industries is held; and Sónar de Noche, where the most internationally relevant music shows take place.
In addition to music and digital art, Sónar also includes a conference called Sónar+D, which brings together leaders in technology, design, and creativity to discuss the future of culture and the creative industry. The conference features workshops, talks, and exhibitions of advanced technology, offering a unique opportunity to learn and experiment with the latest trends in the field.

Where can I park for Sónar 2023?
Sónar is one of the most anticipated events of the year in Barcelona, a city full of monuments, history, culture and atmosphere that attracts many tourists. With a population of over 1 million, car commuting is very common for residents commuting for work or leisure from the outskirts of the metropolitan area or neighboring cities, as well as for tourists who want to explore the city. This makes finding a parking space a difficult task, especially during large events like this. If you plan to attend Sónar and want to know all the options to park quietly, below we provide you with all the details you need to know.
Park near Sonar by Day 2023
Sónar by Day is held at the Fira de Montjuïc, located in the heart of Barcelona, next to the famous Plaza España. This area is very frequented by tourists and there are very few options for parking at street level. Even so, you have several alternatives to park if you go with some time.
Public parking to park at Sónar by Day 2023
If you want to avoid the hassle of looking for a place to park on the day of the event, we recommend reserving a space in a nearby public car park. In this case, you can use Parkimeter: this platform allows you to find parking near your place of interest and saves you time and stress on the day of the concert. By booking in advance, you will have the peace of mind that your place will be guaranteed and your car safe throughout the event.
Remember that the streets around the venue can be saturated by the hundreds or thousands of users looking for parking, just like you. Don't let the search for parking ruin your Sónar experience. Reserve your space in a public parking lot with Parkimeter and enjoy the festival without worries!

Parking on the street for Sónar by Day 2023
If you prefer to park on the street, we recommend looking in the l'Eixample Esquerra area. This area is more residential than touristic, so there is a greater chance of finding a free place to park. However, you must bear in mind that in Barcelona there are not many free parking spaces and you will have to leave your car in a regulated parking area (blue zone or green zone).
Another option that you could consider is to park on Montjuïc, the mountain that is located right next to the venue where Sónar is held. In the highest area of the mountain you can find some free parking spaces, although you will have to walk a considerable distance to reach the festival site.
Parking near Sónar by Night 2023
Sónar by Night takes place in the city of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, which is located on the outskirts of the Barcelona metropolitan area, although the Fira de Gran Vía venue is right on the border between the two cities and a few minutes away by transport public of the Fira de Montjuïc.
Public parking for Sónar by Night 2023
If you want to park near the venue, it is important to note that finding parking in the area can be difficult, as it is an industrial area with few parking spaces at street level. Therefore, we recommend that you reserve a space in advance in one of the public car parks that are located in the surroundings. So you can attend Sónar by Night 2023 with the peace of mind of having a safe place to park your vehicle.

Parking on the street for Sónar by Night 2023
If you plan to attend Sónar by Night 2023 by car, finding a place to park on the street near the venue can be difficult due to the scarcity of available spaces. However, with good planning, there are options that you may find useful:
Regulated parking space or free space: With due notice, you will be able to find a space to park your car in the regulated parking spaces or in the free spaces that are located furthest away from the enclosure. Keep in mind that afterwards you will have to walk or use public transport to get to the venue.
Parking at the Gran Vía 2 Shopping Center: Another option is to leave your car at the Gran Vía 2 Shopping Center, which offers free parking for a maximum of 3 hours. After that time, an additional minute will be charged.
